(A) All officers and employees of the village shall receive such salaries as may be provided from time to time by action of the Village Board of Trustees. ('79 Code, § 1001(6))
(B) Compensation and salaries shall be paid to the village officers and employees in accordance with the wage and salary scale approved by the Board of Trustees or in amounts not to exceed those fixed by the annual appropriation ordinance, except when otherwise permitted by special ordinances and bond issues.
