§ 50.05  CONDITIONS FOR NEW SERVICE.
   (A)   All persons requesting service shall, at their own expense, provide a meter base to be placed in a location prescribed by the Utilities Superintendent or his or her designate.  All meter bases shall meet the specifications of the National Electrical Code and be approved by Underwriters' Laboratories.
   (B)   No service shall be provided to any house or building unless the electrician provides a service connection at such a height that the service drop will meet the minimum clearance requirements of the National Electrical Code, unless otherwise specified by the Utilities Superintendent or the Pitt County Electrical Inspector.  The height may be provided by masting or by an eyebolt at the peak of the house.
