Unless otherwise provided by law, no permit shall be issued to a general contractor, plumbing contractor, electrical contractor or any other contractor identified on the application for building permit for any construction work until the contractor files a License and Permit Bond in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) with the Department of Community Development. In the event the work performed under the permit is not completed or fails to meet Code requirements of this Chapter and all other applicable ordinances of the Village of Winnetka, the Village shall have the right to make a claim against the bond and, if necessary, the Bond will be forfeited.
