§ 34.068  SOCIAL SECURITY.
   (A)   Social Security. In addition to the rates of compensation provided for employees and officials, the city shall extend to all eligible employees and officials of the city, who are not excluded by law or by this chapter, and employed in connection with a governmental or propriety function of the city, the benefits of the system of Federal Old-Age and Survivors’ Insurance as authorized by the Social Security Act, amendments of 1950, being Pub. L. 81-733, 64 Stat. 476, and by RSMo. §§ 105.300 through 105.440, as the same may now and hereafter be in effect. Employee contributions shall be deducted from the wages of all employees and officials of the city, with the city providing a matching and equal contribution which shall be deposited into the appropriate funds created by RSMo. §§ 105.300 through 105.440.
   (B)   Extended to certain city employees and officers. It is hereby declared to be the policy and purpose of the city to extend to all eligible employees and officials of the city who are not excluded by law or by this subchapter, and whenever employed in connection with a governmental or proprietary function of the city, the benefits of the system of Federal Old-Age and Survivors’ Insurance as authorized by the Social Security Act, amendments of 1950, and by RSMo. §§ 105.300 to 105.440, as the same may now and hereafter be in effect.
