This district is established for those areas in the town where the principal use of the land is for those businesses which serve a larger area than those permitted in office and neighborhood commercial districts, C-1 and C-2, and whose range of business uses is broader than those allowed in the office and neighborhood commercial districts. Uses in C-3 are more intensive and less suitable for location adjacent to most residential neighborhoods.
