(A) The developer shall install or cause to be installed a water supply system for the subdivision connected to a public water supply in conformance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
(B) A private well may be approved for the parcels in the subdivision. A private well may be developed in accordance with AWWA standard A-100. All private wells must be approved by the County Board of Health and the State Board of Health.
(C) Indiana Administrative Code (IAC) 8-3.2, Technical Standards for Water Mains is incorporated by reference into this subdivision control ordinance and shall be followed in all developments.
(D) Fire hydrants shall be installed in all developments no more than 450 feet apart in residential developments, 350 feet apart in commercial developments, and 600 feet apart for off-site spacing.
(E) All fire hydrants that are to be repaired, replaced, or installed new shall have a 5-inch Storz Pumper Port, a 5-1/4-inch main valve opening, two 2-1/2-inch NST hose threads (one on each side), 1-1/2inch pentagon operating nut, and open counter-clock wise.
