§ 32.80 TOWN PROMOTION POLICY.
   (A)   That in order to promote, with the highest degree of transparency and clarity, economic development and tourism for the Town of Winfield, and consistent with the provisions of each of I.C. §§ 36-1-3 et seq., as well as I.C. § 36-7-2-7, both as amended from time to time, there is hereby established a town promotion policy and procedure in the Town of Winfield. Further, pursuant to the aforementioned applicable statutory authority in the Indiana Code, there is further established a town promotions appropriation in the town general fund for promotion of economic development and tourism, and all related town business, as authorized by applicable law, and as set forth more specifically in division (B) hereinafter.
   (B)   That the Town Council hereby authorizes the budgeting and appropriations of funds from the general fund to pay the expense of or to reimburse town officials for expenses incurred in promoting the best interests of the Town of Winfield. Such expenses may include, but are not necessarily limited to, rental of meeting places, meals, decorations, memorabilia, awards, expenses incurred in promoting industrial, commercial and residential development, expenses incurred in developing relations with other units of local government, and any other expenses of a civic or governmental nature deemed by the Town Council to be in the best interests of the Town of Winfield, its residents and taxpayers.
   (C)   That the Town Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary and required actions to effectuate the establishment of a town promotion policy and procedures, as well as to establish a town promotions appropriation in the town general fund for promotion of economic development and tourism in the town, as well as related to expenses incurred in promoting the best interests of the town as specified hereinabove.
