(A) The town hereby incorporates the provisions contained in I.C. 15-5-9-1 et seq. (Indiana's Licensing and Taxation of Dogs and Kennels Law). These provisions that are attached to the original ordinance as an appendix and incorporated herein, are being restated and recodified in the town's code of ordinances to illustrate the level of importance with these provisions are regarded by the town:
(1) I.C. 15-5-9-1: Township Assessor's Duties (Census and Dog Tax);
(2) I.C. 15-5-9-2: Township Assessor's Report to Township Trustee;
(3) I.C. 15-5-9-3: Township Assessor's Report to County Auditor;
(4) I.C. 15-5-9-4: Failure of Dog Owner to Pay Taxes;
(5) I.C. 15-5-9-5: Failure of Township Assessor, Assessor's Designee, or Township Trustee to Perform Duties Under This Section;
(6) I.C. 15-5-9-6: Oath of the Dog Owner;
(7) I.C. 15-5-9-7: Repealed;
(8) I.C. 15-5-9-8: The Township Dog Fund; Creation of the Township Dog Fund;
(9) I.C. 15-5-9-9: The Township Dog Fund; Section Repealed;
(10) I.C. 15-5-9-10: The Township Dog Fund; Requirements of a Livestock Owner to Qualify for Receipt of Damages from the Township Dog Fund;
(11) I.C. 15-5-9-11: The Township Dog Fund: Limitations on a Livestock Owner's Ability to Receive Damages;
(12) I.C. 15-5-9-12: The Township Dog Fund; Reports of Destroyed or Damaged Livestock;
(13) I.C. 15-5-9-13: Township Assessor's Furnishing of Uniform Metal License Tags;
(14) I.C. 15-5-9-14: Unlicensed Dogs Becoming Nuisances;
(15) I.C. 15-5-9-15 through 15-5-9-17: Miscellaneous Provisions.
(B) In addition to the requirements set forth in the Indiana Code, the town adopts the following additional regulation. The Uniform Metal License Tags Furnished by the Township Assessor on a yearly basis pursuant to I.C. 15-5-9-13 shall contain the following additional identification information: a collar to which it is affixed the contact information (such as the name, address, telephone number) of the licensed owner of the dog.
