(A) The Clerk-Treasurer or the Building Official, as authorized by the Town Council, shall not hereafter designate or assign any freight and passenger loading zone upon special request of any person, unless that person makes application for a permit for the zone, and will have two signs to indicate the ends of each zone.
(B) The Building Official, upon granting a permit and approving the signs, shall require the applicant to deposit with the Town Clerk-Treasurer a fee of $50 per year, and may, by general regulations, impose conditions upon the use of these signs and for reimbursement by the town for the value thereof in the event of their loss or damage. Every permit shall expire at the expiration of the time stated therein, not to exceed ten days over the one-year period.
