(A) Any owner who fails to register his or her rental property will be subject to a $500 fine. If not paid within ten business days of the receipt of non-payment of the annual registration letter, a lien will be filed against said property.
(B) (1) Any owner, his or her or their agent, or occupant, who has received notice of a violation of the provisions herein and who has failed to abate the violation may be charged with a violation of this chapter in a criminal complaint in Jefferson District Court.
(2) Any owner, his or her or their agent, or occupant, who violates any provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation which shall be punishable by a fine of up to $250.
(3) Each day of violation constitutes a separate violation of this chapter punishable by a fine of up to $250.
