1341.18 HOUSING RENTAL CODE INSPECTOR.

   To administer all provisions of the Housing Maintenance and Occupancy Code of the Village of Windham, with approval of Mayor and Village Council.

   (a)   Develop and implement plans for inspections of multiple and single unit(s) residential rental dwellings.

   (b)   Perform all inspections and reinspections on residential rental units as required, to determine rental compliance.

   (c)   Issue all notices of violation which are deemed necessary to effect rental Housing Maintenance Code compliance.

   (d)   Issue all Notifications of Compliance and Certificates of Compliance to rental property owners, operators and agents whose rental units comply with the provisions of the Housing Maintenance and Occupancy Code.

   (e)   File criminal complaints, appear in court, and provide expert testimony and documentation in connection with any provision of the Housing Maintenance and Occupancy Code for which an alleged violation has been cited and corrective measures were not taken by the rental property owner, operator or agent.

   (f)   Prepare and maintain all paperwork related to the administration of the enforcement of the Housing Maintenance and Occupancy Code.

   (g)   Prepare periodic status reports and keep Supervisors and Public Officials appraised of progress.
