(A) All trucks and motor vehicles with a gross weight of eight tons or more are prohibited from traveling or parking at any time upon the following listed streets in the town.

(B) This schedule shall not apply to emergency vehicles, public utility or municipal trucks, and motor vehicles engaged in carrying out their ordinary and necessary functions, nor to trucks and motor vehicles directly en route to residential premises located within the town for door-to-door delivery or pick-up.
(C) The above designated streets shall be appropriately marked and identified with informational signs to clearly advise and alert drivers that weight limitations and use restrictions are in effect.
(D) The Town Marshal, his or her duly appointed deputies, or any other traffic law enforcement officers are hereby empowered to stop and check any vehicle which the officer reasonably believes to be in violation of this schedule, and to require the operator to have the vehicle weighed at or with the nearest reasonably available scales.
