(A) If the utility determines that a customer is using water negligently or wastefully, or if it determines that a customer is using water in a manner which adversely affects the town water system, the utility shall give written notice to the customer requesting that the customer discontinue any negligent, wasteful, or harmful use.
(B) If the customer does not discontinue the use within 24 hours after receipt of the notice, the utility may discontinue service to that customer.
