§ 70.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DESIGNATED AREA. A city street, city sidewalk, and/or city parking area on or abutting the following areas in the city: on Meridian Street from the corner of Meridian Street and South Street to the corner of Meridian Street and North Street; on Main Street from the corner of Main Street and South Street to the corner of Main Street and North Street; on Washington Street from the corner of Washington Street and West Street to the corner of Washington Street and East Street; on Franklin Street from the corner of Franklin Street and West Street to the corner of Franklin Street and East Street.
   DRIVER'S LICENSE. A valid license to operate a motor vehicle issued by Indiana or any other state.
   FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Liability insurance coverage on a golf cart in an amount not less than required by Indiana law for motor vehicles operated on public highways in the State of Indiana.
   GOLF CART. A vehicle originally designed for operation on a golf course, and powered by a battery or internal combustion motor.
   INDIVIDUAL PARKING SPACE. A portion of the paved surface of a street of sufficient length and depth from the sidewalk or curb as such shall be specified and marked by the Chief of Police.
   PARKING. The standing of a vehicle upon a street, whether such vehicle is not occupied or is occupied by any person.
   SKATEBOARD. Any apparatus consisting of a footrest mounted on wheels that is used for the purpose of gliding over sidewalks or other surfaces, under human or motorized propulsion, and includes but is not limited to skateboards.
   VEHICLE. Any device or machine that transports persons, animals, or property.
