(A) There is hereby created the office of the Coordinator for the city’s Disaster and Emergency Services as provided by KRS 30B.010.
(B) The City Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator is hereby charged:
(1) Shall be guided by KRS Chapter 39B;
(2) To represent the city on all matters pertaining to disaster and emergency services;
(3) To obtain and utilize cooperation of the city officials in the preparation and implementation of Disaster and Emergency Services plans; and
(4) During periods of emergency to obtain, with consent of the Mayor and chain-of-command, vital supplies and equipment lacking, needed for the protection of life and property of people and bind the city for the value thereof and if required immediately requisition same.
