(A) The Kentucky Building Code promulgated in 815 KAR 7:120, and the Kentucky Residential Code promulgated in 815 KAR 7:125 by the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction, Commonwealth of Kentucky, are to be enforced by County/City Joint Planning Commission as if set out in length herein.
(1) A copy of the Kentucky Building Code and the Kentucky Residential Code is on file at the County/City Joint Planning Commission, and the Director shall at all times keep copies of these codes for reference.
(2) A copy of Ordinance 1-2019 shall be transmitted to the Department of Housing, Building and Construction of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
(B) The County/City Joint Planning Commission shall be designated as the local law enforcement agent/agency for the Kentucky Building Code. All building code inspections shall be performed by persons certified by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction. All electrical inspections shall be performed by persons certified by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction as electrical inspectors.
