(A) (1) New buildings in the commercial districts should employ a facade or composite facade of wood materials, stone, block or brick. Metal buildings must comply with 80% of this requirement for all sides that can be seen in full view. Exceptions may be granted. Request for exceptions should be made in writing to City Hall, with supporting documents.
(2) Exceptions will be determined by the City Council.
(B) Building design plans and property design and layout plans for any new commercial project must be approved by the City Council in addition to the approval of the Wilmore-Jessamine County Joint Planning Commission.
