§ 151.15 GENERAL REGULATIONS.
(A)   No street lighting shall be installed on public streets, except in compliance with this subchapter.
(B)   Street light easement or pole locations shall be shown on all subdivision plats and development plans as applicable.
(C)   Underground distribution lines for utilities and cable shall be required in all new residential subdivisions (adopted in § 5.301, subdivision regulations, for the Jessamine County-City of Wilmore Planning Commission).
(D)   A street lighting plan that provides light fixture locations, lumen levels and fixture style must be submitted to the city. No lighting-related construction shall begin prior to receipt of written approval of a submitted lighting plan. The written approval must be signed by either the Mayor or the Public Works Director.
(E)   All street lights in the city shall be under the full jurisdiction and control of the Public Works Department. The Department shall have the authority to enforce the rules and regulations enacted by the City Council to successfully operate the system. No installation of new street lights shall be approved unless permission is given by the Public Works Director.

(F)   Street lights are the property of, and shall be maintained by, the utility serving the area in which the street lights are located.
(G)   All lighting poles, supporting bases for mounting poles, luminaries and arms and brackets for supporting luminaries installed within the city limits shall meet the requirements of this chapter.
