§ 94.08 FARM ANIMALS.
   (A)   It shall be prohibited and unlawful for any person to keep pigpens, on any real property located within the city limits, regardless of the size or zoning of the land, except on that property which is zoned agricultural.
   (B)   The keeping or harboring of all other livestock (as defined below) within the city shall be specifically prohibited on any lot, tract or parcel of land unless at least two acres of land is dedicated for that specific purpose per animal. Any lot or tract of land larger than 50 acres in size shall be specifically exempted from this section.
   (C)   The above livestock provisions shall be subject to all of the following.
      (1)   All livestock, poultry and goats shall be confined to the property by proper fencing.
      (2)   Livestock, poultry and goats shall not be permitted to go on any property of another, unless done with the owner of that land’s permission and while under the direct control of the livestock owner.
      (3)   Livestock may be on the streets of the city only if any animal waste produced is promptly and thoroughly removed. Poultry and goats are never permitted to be on the streets of the City of Wilmore.
      (4)   Animal waste is to be managed promptly and thoroughly on the animal lot.
      (5)   Appropriate cover for all animals is to be easily accessible by the animal(s).
      (6)   For purposes of this section, the word LIVESTOCK shall include all farm animals, with the exception of poultry and goats, and including, but not limited to, cattle, buffalo, sheep, horses, llamas, donkeys and mules. No roosters or male goats may be kept at any time within the city. A maximum of two female goats are permitted per residence. Poultry, excluding roosters, may be permitted so long as the presence of the poultry does not endanger the health, safety, peace, quiet, comfort, enjoyment or otherwise become a public nuisance to nearby residents.
      (7)   Current owners of livestock within the city limits will have 12 months from the date of final adoption and publication to come into compliance with all the above.
