§ 51.31 FIRE HYDRANT SPECIFICATIONS.
   (A)   Fire hydrants installed in water service areas outside the city’s annexed city limits must be constructed according to the hydrant section in the Standard Specifications (currently § 2240) with the following mandatory exception: the fire hydrant must have a limited flow capability; it must have a five and one-fourths-inch main valve opening, it must be the two-way model, and it must have only two two and one-half-inch hose nozzles (Mueller Super Centurion 200 Fire Hydrant, Model A-422). It shall not have any pumper nozzles.
   (B)   The water supply must be able to deliver an uninterrupted minimum fire flow of 250 gallons per minute (GPM) at 20 psi residual for two hours as determined by hydraulic modeling or representative field verification.
   (C)   No fire hydrants will be permitted on water lines less than six inches in diameter. All work must be done by a contractor approved by the city.
