§ 50.16 WATER AND SEWER LINE MAINTENANCE.
   Upon dedication to and acceptance of any water and sewer lines into the city’s water and wastewater system, the city will accept sole responsibility for maintenance as follows:
   (A)   All water lines (two inches and larger) and all water mains (six inches and larger) which are not designed to serve a single user;
   (B)   All fire hydrants. The city is not responsible for and will not maintain any private fire protection systems;
   (C)   On residential and commercial properties, the city will maintain the water service laterals to the discharge side of the water meter yoke, excluding the connection to the yoke on the property owner’s side of the meter;
   (D)   The city will maintain all sewer mains (eight inches and larger) and appurtenances (force mains, air relief valves, manholes) which are not designed to serve a single user; and
   (E)   On residential and commercial properties, the city will maintain sewer service laterals to the private property line.
