135.27 9-1-1 CAPITAL UPGRADE FUND.
   There is hereby created a fund known as the 9-1-1 Capital Upgrade Fund.
   (a)   The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to deposit confiscated and seized funds as authorized by the Police Chief; balances in agency accounts that do not have any claims against them; the proceeds of bonds and/or notes, grants, donations, and other sources of revenue authorized by Council and approved by the Mayor, into the 9-1-1 Capital Upgrade Fund.
   (b)   Expenditures shall be made from the 9-1-1 Capital Upgrade Fund for: The hiring of vendors to evaluate the current system in order to make recommendations necessary to upgrade the system; the hiring of contractors for the installation of a new 9-1-1 system and any other expenses associated with or incurred in upgrading the City’s 9-1-1 system with said expenditures to be authorized by Council and approved by the Mayor.
   (c)   The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to make application to the Ohio Bureau of Inspection for approval of the creation of the 9-1-1 Capital Upgrade Fund.
