(a) There are hereby created miscellaneous petty cash funds to be known as indicated hereinafter. These funds shall be known and funded from the City’s general fund, as follows:

(b) Expenditures shall be made from the aforesaid petty cash funds for ordinary, day- to-day expenses of the appropriate department(s) or court; in no event shall any single expenditure exceed the amount appropriated for such fund as indicated hereinabove.
(c) The Director of Finance is authorized and directed to replenish the fund balances to their original amounts as indicated above, when requested by the custodian of the fund; the Director of Finance shall require an accounting of sums expended prior to replenishing the fund balance.
