When any person fails, neglects or refuses to comply with any order of the Fire Department or other authorized representative of the City of Willoughby Hills, under the provisions of this chapter, or when any building, structure, or land is used or occupied so as to be in violation of or not in conformity with the provisions of this chapter, the Fire Chief or designee or other authorized representative of the City of Willoughby Hills, may, in his discretion, institute an appropriate action of law or equity to restrain the execution in violation of this chapter, to prevent the occupation or use of such building or such structure or land, and to prevent or terminate any violations of this chapter. The exercise of the rights and remedies granted in this chapter shall in no way preclude or limit the City from exercising any other right or remedy now or hereafter granted under the laws of Ohio or the ordinances of the City.
