(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, the City hereby adopts the following codes.
(1) The Ohio Fire Code as adopted by the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, Department of Commerce, effective September 1, 1995, and any revisions thereto, and as published in Division 1301:7 of the Ohio Administrative Code is incorporated as if fully rewritten.
(2) The following National Fire Codes, first editions, and any amendments thereto, as published by the National Fire Protection Association are incorporated as if fully rewritten:
NFPA 1 National Fire Prevention Code
NFPA 13 Installation of Sprinkler Systems
NFPA 14, Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems.
NFPA 43D, Storage of Pesticides.
NFPA 70 National Electric Code
NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code
NFPA 101, Life Safety Code
NFPA 101A Alternatives for Life Safety
NFPA 241, Construction, Alteration, and Demolition Operations.
NFPA 327, Cleaning or Safeguarding Small Tanks and Containers without Entry.
NFPA 409, Aircraft Hangers.
NFPA 410, Aircraft Maintenance.
NFPA 423, Construction and Protection of Aircraft Engine Test Facilities.
NFPA 430 Liquid and Solid Oxidizers.
NFPA 505, Powered Industrial Trucks, Including Type Designations, Areas of Use, Maintenance, and Operations.
NFPA 1962, Care, Use, and Service Testing of Fire Hose Including Connections and Nozzles.
(3) The Ohio Fire Code, The BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, and the National Fire Codes adopted by this section shall hereafter be referred to as the "Fire Prevention Code".
(b) A complete copy of such codes shall be kept on file at the Office of the Fire Prevention Bureau from the date on which this section takes effect, the provisions thereof, except as deleted, modified or amended, shall be controlling within the limits of the City.
