All registration certificates (except for Snowplowing Contractors) shall expire on December 31 in the year in which such certificate of registration was issued and shall be renewed within thirty (30) days after the expiration of the existing registration. If such registration is not renewed for the ensuing year within thirty (30) days after the expiration date, the fee for such registration thereafter shall be as for a new registration. Registration certificates for Snowplowing Contractors shall expire on May 31 of the year following issuance if issued on or after June 1 and on May 31 of the year issued if issued prior to June 1.
