(a) The President of Council shall receive compensation at the rate six thousand five hundred ($6,500.00) per annum commencing January 2004.
(b) Members of Council, other than the President whose term commences on January of 2004, or January of 2006 shall receive compensation in the amount of five thousand five hundred dollars ($5,500) per annum effective January of 2004 or January 2006 respectively.
(c) Effective January of 2005, the salary of the Council President shall increase each year by a percentage equal to the change in the Consumer Price Index W-All Items, or equivalent, index for the United States governments smallest reporting area that contains the City of Cleveland as of January 1 of each year.
(d) Effective in January of 2007 each Council Person’s salary shall increase each year by a percentage equal to the change in the Consumer Price Index W-All Items ,or equivalent, for the United States governments smallest reporting area that contains the City of Cleveland as of January 1 of each year.
