The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all stables erected or constructed after the adoption of ordinance 1970-36. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all horses or cows hereafter kept within the Municipality except that those persons who presently maintain any number of horses or cows in excess of the number permitted by this chapter upon registering such horses or cows within thirty days of the effective date of ordinance 1970-36; passed on October 22, 1970, shall have the right to continue to maintain such number of horses or cows as they presently maintain; it is the intention of Council that the rights provided in this section shall run with the land; therefore any person who may hereafter acquire real property whereon horses or cows have been registered under favor of this section may, within thirty days after acquiring title to such real property, register a number of horses or cows equal to or less than the number of horses or cows previously registered for such real property in accordance with this section.
