709.04 NOTICE PROHIBITING CANVASSING OR SOLICITATION.
   (a)   Notice by the owner(s) or occupant(s) of any residence or place of business of the determination to refuse to receive any uninvited canvassers or solicitors shall be given by displaying a weatherproof card, decal or sign not less than three inches by two inches in size nor more than thirty square inches in total surface area upon or near the main entrance door to the residence or place of business, indicating such determination by the owner or occupant, containing the words “No Solicitors Invited” or “No Soliciting”, with the letters at least one-fourth inch in height with reference to this section of the Codified Ordinances. Any such sign which complies with the requirements of this section shall be exempt from any additional or different requirements contained in the provisions of the Planning and Zoning Code.

   (b)   The City shall maintain a list of residents within the City who have expressed a desire not to be visited by any canvassers or solicitors. Upon the issuance of any license hereunder, any canvasser or solicitor shall be provided with a copy of the list of City Residents who have expressed a desire in writing not to have any such canvasser or solicitor enter upon their property. Every canvasser and/or solicitor licensed under this Local Law shall agree not to visit the premises so enumerated in the list provided to it by the City.
