§ 1161.06 DUTIES OF SMOKE CONTROL BOARD.
   (a)   The duties of this Smoke Control Board shall be to receive and pass upon the reports from the Smoke Control Engineer of alleged violations of this article, to hold appropriate hearings on such violations and to issue appropriate orders for the abatement of such violations.
   (b)   The Board is hereby authorized to summon for appearance, on not less than ten days notice, the person responsible for any premises in which the Engineer reports violation of the provisions of this article, to show cause why such violation should not be abated and to issue such orders as may be necessary to cause the abatement of such violation.
   (c)   In the event that such order of the Board is not satisfactorily complied with, within the specified time allowed by such order subject to any extensions of time granted as hereinafter provided, it shall be the duty of the City Solicitor to institute proceedings for the abatement of such violation and for the punishment therefor.
   (d)   It shall also be the duty of the Smoke Control Board to submit to Council recommendations for any advisable revisions of this article.
   (e)   Proper records of the proceedings of the Board shall be maintained by the Board.
