§ 1161.04 CREATION OF OFFICE OF SMOKE CONTROL ENGINEER.

(a) The office of Smoke Control Engineer in the Department of Public Safety is hereby established for the purpose of assisting the public in the elimination of dense smoke, and for the enforcement of the terms of this article. The Engineer shall be appointed by the Director of Public Safety with the consent of Council.

(b) In the event the position of Director of Public Safety is not filled, the Fire Chief shall appoint the Engineer with the consent of Council.
