§ 183.02 MEMBERS; TERM; VACANCIES.
   (a)   The Recreation Commission shall consist of seven members who shall be appointed in the following manner.
      (1)   One member shall be a member of City Council who shall be appointed annually by City Council, with the advice and consent of the Mayor. An alternate Council member shall also be appointed.
      (2)   Six members at large shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of City Council.
      (3)   The Mayor and Recreation Director shall serve in an advisory capacity.
   (b)   (1)   The member of the Commission who is a member of Council, and the Council alternate, shall serve a one-year term, and members at large shall serve four year terms. It is anticipated the Council Alternate should become the following years Council Commission member, and a new Alternate appointed.
      (2)   The initial term of the at large members shall be appointed as follows: two members for one year; one member for two years; two members for three years; and one member for four years. Thereafter, appointments to the Commission shall be for four-year terms.
   (c)   Vacancies in the Commission occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be for the unexpired term and shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointments.
