(A) It is the city's policy that all development within the utility service boundary shall have an adequate and secure source of electricity.
(B) The city owns the electric distribution system providing electric service to the area encompassed by the present corporate boundaries of the city (“City Service Territory”).
(C) APS owns and maintains the electric transmission and distribution system providing electric service to the city system, as well as the surrounding area (the “APS System”).
(D) APS and the city have an “Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Office Functions Agreement” wherein the city contracted with APS to operate and maintain the city system for the city and to perform customer service functions as well.
(E) All new developments shall comply with all requirements of the city-APS agreement as well as other codes, ordinances, and standards. Copies of these documents, with revisions, are on file in the office of the City Clerk.
