(A) The purpose of this chapter is to define the city Utility Service Area Boundary and to aid developers, designers, and the public in understanding the policies and procedures which govern the operation of the city municipal utility systems.
(B) To facilitate the efficient delivery of water, collection of wastewater, delivery of reclaim water, and provisions for other city utilities, the city hereby establishes a utility service area, which is delineated on the map entitled “The City of Williams Municipal Utility Service Area Boundary.” This utility service area is also the city water system service area, and their boundaries shall be considered to be one and the same.
(C) It is the intent of this utility service area boundary to follow the existing city limits, except as otherwise noted on the map. It is also the intent that any future annexations or changes to the city limits would also be duplicated with those same changes to the utility service area boundary map.
(D) These regulations are intended to be used in conjunction with other codes, ordinances, and standards of the city and such other agencies as may have jurisdiction.
