The objective of this subchapter is to establish minimum requirements to mitigate the risk of life and property from wild land fire exposures, fire exposures from adjacent structures and to mitigate structure fires from spreading to adjacent wild lands. This objective will be accomplished through establishing a “defensible space” around proposed structures within the city based on a calculated fire hazard rating.
