(A) Scope. The provisions of this subchapter shall apply to all new construction, remodeling and replacement of fixtures in all existing structures.
(B) Water closets and/or urinals. Water closets shall be designed so as to be operable and adequately flushed with no more than 1.6 gallons of water per flush. Urinals shall be of the waterless type.
(C) Shower heads. Shower heads shall be designed, manufactured and/or installed so that the flow will not exceed two and one-half gallons per minute.
(D) Kitchen and lavatory faucets. All kitchen and lavatory faucets shall be designed, manufactured and/or installed so that the flow will not exceed two and one-half gallons per minute for kitchen and two gallons per minute for lavatory.
(E) Public restrooms. Faucets located in restrooms intended for unrestricted use by the general public shall be of the metering or self-closing type and shall comply with division (D) above.
(F) Pressure reducing valve. A pressure reducing valve shall be installed by the property owner, in all new construction or remodeling where line pressure exceeds 50 psi. This valve shall be adjusted so that the pressure at the highest point of use in the building shall not exceed 50 psi. The provisions of this division (F) are not intended to interfere with any provisions in the Uniform Fire Code.
