R101.1 Insert Will County, Illinois.
R102.5 The following Appendices shall be adopted:
   (A)   Appendix A Sizing and capacities of gas piping.
   (B)   Appendix B Sizing of venting, systems serving appliances equipped with draft hoods, Category I Appliances and appliances listed for use and Type B vents.
   (C)   Appendix C Exit terminals of mechanical draft and draft vent venting systems.
   (D)   Appendix E Manufactured housing used as dwellings.
   (E)   Appendix H Patio Covers.
   (F)   Appendix K Sound Transmission.
R105.2 Work Exempt From Permit
   (A)   Delete Section One under "Building" in its entirety.
      10.   Exterior flatwork (pavers, slabs, etc.) where there is not any proposed building exception: Stairs used as the means of egress shall require a permit.
      11.   Storage cabinets less than 7' tall and less than 50 square feet.
      12.   Gutters and downspouts for one-and-two family dwellings and townhouses.
      13.   Roof repairs of less than 100 sq. ft. for one-and-two family dwellings and townhouses.
      14.   Siding repairs of less than 100 sq. ft. for one-and-two family dwellings and townhouses.
      15.   Doors of any kind in one and two family dwellings and townhouses as long as structural alterations are not needed.
      16.   Replacement of decking boards on an existing one-and-two family dwelling or townhouse deck and/or stair decking as long as the deck is structurally sound and decking meets the requirements of all codes and this ordinance.
   Add additional projects exempt from permit under electrical:
      5.   Electrical work that does not alter the wiring of the building (replacement of light fixtures, exhaust fans, smoke detectors, outlets or similar)
   Add additional projects exempt from permit under mechanical:
      9.   Replacement of ductwork less than 30' of same code compliant material in one-and-two family dwellings, duplex's and townhouses.
      10.   Replacement of a range hood for one-and-two family dwellings, duplex's and townhouses where new electrical building wiring is not needed.
R106.1 Submittal Documents
To read:
   All new one-and-two family residences, town homes. Second story additions to one-and-two family residences and townhomes and engineered buildings shall have documents signed and sealed by a registered design professional and/or as approved by the Chief Building Official. Res-check documents shall be signed by the person performing the res-check paperwork.

R313 Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems

   Delete entire section.
   Amend to read accessible dwelling units shall comply with the 2018 Illinois Accessibility Code and all federal laws and standards.
R407.3 Structural Requirements
   Delete Exception only.
R703.1.1. Water Resistance
   Add Exception #3.
   Metal siding installed on detached accessory structures without insulation and/or interior coverings. This exception cannot be used where a gas line is run to the structure or where radiant heat is installed in a concrete slab. Existing buildings undergoing alterations to install insulation and/or interior coverings must take steps to limit water infiltration thru the metal siding.
R903.2.2 Crickets and Saddles
   A cricket or saddle shall be installed on the ridge side of all chimneys. Cricket or saddle covering shall be any roof covering allowed by code.
Chapters 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 of the 2018 IRC are to be deleted and the 2014 State of Illinois Plumbing Code is to be added in its entirety.
