§ 34.041 TERMS OF OFFICE; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   The appointed members’ terms of office shall be four years and until their successors are selected and qualified; however, the terms of those first appointed shall expire as follows:
      (1)   Two at the end of one year after date of appointment;
      (2)   Two at the end of two years after date of appointment;
      (3)   Two at the end of three years after date of appointment; and
      (4)   Two at the end of four years after date of appointment as designated by the Chairperson of the County Board of Supervisors at the time of appointment. The terms of all members shall continue until their respective successors have been duly appointed and qualified.
   (B)   If a vacancy occurs in the appointed membership, the Chairperson of the County Board may, with the advice and consent of the Board, appoint a member for the remaining portion of the unexpired term created by the vacancy. The Chairperson of the County Board may, with the advice and consent of the Board, remove any appointed member for cause.
   (C)   The members of the Environmental Control Board shall receive no compensation for their services, but shall be reimbursed for expenses necessarily incurred in the performance of their duties.
