§ 164.001 STATUTORY AUTHORITY.
   (A)   This chapter shall be known, and may be cited, as the Water Resource Ordinance for Unincorporated Will County.
   (B)   The County Board adopts this chapter pursuant to its authority to regulate stormwater management and governing the location, width, course and release rate of all stormwater runoff channels, streams and basins in the county, in accordance with the County Comprehensive Countywide Stormwater Management Plan. The statutory authority for this chapter is contained in ILCS Ch. 55, Act 5, §§ 5-1041, 5-1049, 5-1063, 5-1104, 5-12001, 5-15001 et seq. and 5-40001 and other applicable authority, all as amended from time to time.
   (C)   This chapter shall regulate all development in the unincorporated areas of the county. However, all development in the unincorporated areas of the county shall also meet the requirements of the Will County Stormwater Management Ordinance (Countywide), effective January 1, 2004, and all amendments to that ordinance, as codified in Chapter 55. If provisions of the countywide ordinance appear different than the provisions of this chapter, than the most restrictive provision of either shall apply.
