§ 33.37 CITY ATTORNEY.
   (A)   The position of City Attorney is created.
   (B)   The City Attorney shall advise the city authorities and officers in all legal matters pertaining to the business of the city, and discharge other required duties. The City Council may, for special cases, employ an attorney for the city who may or may not reside in the city and who shall receive such compensation as the City Council prescribes by ordinance. (KRS 69.580)
