§ 111.01 DEFINITION.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   TRANSIENT MERCHANT, ITINERANT MERCHANT or ITINERANT VENDOR. Any person, firm or corporation, whether as owner, agent, consignee or employee, and whether a resident of the municipality or not, who engages temporarily within the municipality in the business of selling and delivering goods, wares or merchandise or taking orders for goods or merchandise, to or at homes, apartments or other residential premises in the municipality. A TRANSIENT MERCHANT, ITINERANT MERCHANT or ITINERANT VENDOR shall not include not-for-profit organizations conducting fund raising activities, including, but not limited to, school organizations, youth scouting and sports organizations and church organizations.
