§ 110.01 LICENSES REQUIRED TO ENGAGE IN CERTAIN TRADES, BUSINESSES, OR PROFESSIONS.
   (A)   For the purpose of raising revenue, sufficient to procure the necessary police and fire protection for the property owners and inhabitants of the city, and to the end that the City Council may meet its current expenses in procuring the police and fire protection in the city, the Council does hereby ordain and levy an occupational license tax, which tax as so levied shall be per annum and upon the occupations, trades and professions carried on in the city.
   (B)   The word PERSON as used herein shall mean any person, firm, partnership or corporation doing business in the city.
