(A) No former public official or employee shall appear on behalf of a private interest other than his or her own on any matter before the city until one year after he or she has left his or her position with the city. However, in the case of an officer (official) the ban will be permanent on matters in which the officer was personally involved in establishing and noting in favor of. The latter will be waived in case where such a service etc. would cost the city additional revenue by approval of the Council and Mayor.
(B) Penalty for violation of this section will be the immediate discontinuing of service/contract etc. The Enforcement Committee may also elect to have any monies returned over and above the actual cost of the service/material as they deem appropriate.
