(a) No person shall act as a canvasser or solicitor in the City, calling at residences or places of business, without first having secured from the Safety Director or his or her designated representative a permit therefor. The fee for such permit shall be fifty dollars ($50.00).
(b) The required permit shall expire in six months. The canvasser or solicitor may reapply for an additional permit upon expiration.
