After the costs of removing, storing, advertising, and selling a vehicle under the provisions of this subchapter are deducted, the balance of the funds derived from the sale of any vehicle under this subchapter shall be held for the owner for a period of 90 days. If such proceeds are not claimed at the expiration of such period, such proceeds shall be paid into the General Fund of the city.
