The regulations contained in this chapter shall govern every subdivision of land within the city and its extraterritorial jurisdiction, as provided in G.S. Ch. 160D, Article 2. In the event of land lying within the extraterritorial area of the city and within the extraterritorial area of another municipality, the jurisdiction of each municipality shall terminate at a boundary line equidistant from the respective corporate limits of each municipality.
