§ 92.20 DOOR-TO-DOOR ACTIVITIES PROHIBITED.
   (A)   Peddler, solicitor, and seller of merchandise means any person who shall sell, offer for or expose for sale, or who shall trade, deal or traffic in any goods or services in the city by going from house to house or from place to place or by indiscriminately approaching individuals.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any peddler, solicitor, or other seller of merchandise to go in, or on, private residences or the premises thereof, within the city without first having been requested or invited to do so by the owner or occupant, for the purpose of advertising, peddling, or selling merchandise.
   (C)   This section shall not apply to civic clubs located within the county, nor to any bona fide charitable, education, religious, cultural or governmental institution or organization when the proceeds of the sales are used directly for the charitable purpose of the institution or organization. Students that attend a public or private school and who conduct door-to-door solicitations or donations for school activities are exempted.
