(A) (1) Permits covered by Chapter 4 of the City Fire Prevention Code and required in various articles thereof are for the purpose of giving City Council, through the Fire Official, more effective control over hazardous conditions regulated by the code.
(2) Each permit shall be for a term coinciding with the mandated inspection schedule for the class of occupancy.
(B) The City Council may, by resolution, adopt a schedule of fees for permits and inspections required by the Fire Prevention Code, and when such resolution has been placed on file in the office of the City Clerk, no such permit shall be issued and no such inspection shall be made until the fee therefor as provided in such schedule, has been paid to the Finance Officer.
