§ 41.026 UNIFORM PROPERTY ADDRESS AND ADDRESS DISPLAY.
   (A)   Uniform property address and address display. New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position to be plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property.
   (B)   Address numbers. Buildings must be easily identified by emergency responders from the emergency response vehicle. Address numbers shall be a minimum of four inches for residential and four inches for commercial with a minimum stroke width of one-half inch. Numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters, and shall contrast with their background. This shall include the backs of the buildings that face alleys or roads (i.e., strip shopping centers). The back door of each tenant space shall have the numerical address and the store name on or above the door.
   (C)   Accordance. Addressing for all buildings shall be accordance with the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code.
