§ 21.37 CITY TAX COLLECTOR.
   The City Council shall provide for the appointment of a Tax Collector to collect all taxes, licenses, fees and other revenues accruing to the city, subject to the General Statutes, the provisions of the Charter and the ordinances of the city. The Tax Collector shall diligently comply with and enforce all the laws of the state relating to the collection of taxes and other revenues by municipalities. Such appointment may, in cases deemed appropriate by the Council, appoint another government entity to the position of Tax Collector.
